Software Freedom Day 2009 @ ALexandria University

Tuesday 1st September 2009 was the Openning of the Event of Software Freedom Day @ Alexandria University....
It was a great and very Organized Day. The event was held at the faculty of Engineering of Alexandria University. This event organized by the help of Alexandria ACM chapter , OSUM Club and the Arabic Wikipedia Team ... and all of them are students at the faculty of Engineering of Alexandria University.
At the Beginning I attended the Introduction session of the event , the speaker was a student at 4th year of Computer Science Department and a software Engineer from ESpace .
Then, there was a session lasted for an hour about open source Software and introducing the idea of Software Freedom , Explaining the four main freedoms and discussing copyrights issues .
After those two sessions  there were some gifts to the first 50 person who registered online at the official  site of Sun. There were also some CDs of Open Solaris Operating System that were given to the attendants of the first day....
This Event will last for 2 weeks from 1-9-2009 To 15-9-2009 .
